As you should know, I am obsessed with Christina Tosi and her majestic baking skills. I don’t remember how I came across this recipe but I knew that I absolutely had to make it.

This cake does require a bit of effort but it is completely worth it. Be sure the get the best strawberries that you can find to use in this cake. I mean, it is recommended that you get the best ingredients available whilst baking but this is especially important when it comes to making the Pickled Strawberry Jam and Frosting.

If Pickled Strawberry Jam sounds a bit odd and makes you leery to try it, trust me when I say, it is absolutely delicious. Especially when you eat it with the rest of the layers, it’s a mouthful of summer in every bite.

If you’ve never tried to make a naked layer cake, I highly recommend it. It’s quite a feat to take on but you will end the whole process entirely proud of yourself and you’ll have something absolutely delicious to enjoy. It adds up to be quite a cake, so it’s best served with friends.
