Leftover Bourbon Brown Butter Apple Crumble

Yesterday I made some Bourbon Brown Butter Hand Pies.

Now, my mom decided to help me with cutting the apples and cut too many apples. I didn’t have more pie dough and I couldn’t be bothered to make something completely new so I decided to make an Apple Crisp with the remaining filling.

And I got to use my new pie dish that I got on clearance for like $3.



For the Streusel Top

1/2 Cup Light Brown Sugar, packed
3/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour
1/2 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
1/4 Tsp Salt
4 Tbsp (1/2 stick) Unsalted Butter, cold and cut into 1/2 in. cubes

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Place filling in pie plate.

In a bowl, combine the sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt.

Add the butter and cut it into the mixture until it looks like coarse crumbs.

Spread topping over the filling in the pie dish.

Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes until topping is nice and golden brown. Let sit for about 30 mins or until completely cooled.
